The Shield Foundation is proud to announce the award of four scholarships to deserving students with ties to the Washington Golf & Country Club community. The scholarships were presented during a special gathering recognizing the recipients’ academic achievements, leadership, and commitment to their future goals.
The Foundation’s scholarship program was established to help expand educational opportunities for WGCC employees and their families. By easing the financial burden of higher education, the program seeks to empower recipients to pursue their academic ambitions while investing in the future success of the families who contribute so much to the Club community.
This year’s recipients represent a diverse range of educational interests and career aspirations. Whether pursuing studies in business, healthcare, education, or the skilled trades, each student demonstrated exceptional dedication, perseverance, and a strong desire to make a positive impact in their communities. The Board of Governors was impressed by the quality of the applications and the inspiring stories shared by each recipient.
